Our call letter was delivered to McArthur Homes' office by Tom Jackman, a member of our bishopric who works in the Missionary Department. Ron read the letter to us over the phone with Dave and Jennifer by his side and Steve on another phone line. We were in New York at the Marriott Hotel on Broadway Street overlooking Times Square. Linda and Shane and Michelle and Doug were with us. It was de ja vue all over again - twenty years later. Once again Donna is jumping for joy over hearing where we were assigned to serve, and once again I just sat there in a state of mild shock (just like our call to serve in the Utah Salt Lake City Mission in 1989). Imagine our surprise in learning we would be serving in Hawaii again, having served there three and-a-half years (2002 - 2005) in the Kona Hawaii Temple.
